Aims & Scope

Journal of South Asian Clinical Epidemiology and Evidence based Medicine is an open access, peer reviewed journal aiming to communicate high quality research articles, and reviews articles in the field of medicine. Journal of South Asian Clinical Epidemiology and Evidence based Medicine publishes articles which encompass all aspects of basic research/clinical studies related to the field of medical sciences. The Journal aims to bridge and integrate the intellectual, methodological, and substantive diversity of medical scholarship, and to encourage a vigorous dialogue between medical scholars and practitioners.

ICE-EBM Network

ICE-EBM or Indonesian Clinical Epidemiology-Evidence based medicine is a national networking of Indonesian Institution in the field of clinical epidemiology and evidence based medicine. The mission is becoming a national network in areas of epidemiology and evidence based medicine to jointly gathering strength to have development of knowledge and research continuously in efforts of health improvement in Indonesia. To achieve the mission ICE-EBM created a journal to increase the research publication which will publish research articles from Asian.

Acknowledgement

Open Journal Systems (OJS) is an open source software application for managing and publishing scholarly journals which has been created and developed by the Public Knowledge Project (PKP) to improve access to research. OJS is the most widely used open source journal publishing platform.  This Journal acknowledges PKP for the effort to continuously developing and updating the OJS system.

Publication Ethics

Journal of South Asian Clinical Epidemiology and Evidence based Medicine is a peer-reviewed electronic journal. This statement clarifies the ethical behaviour of all parties involved in the act of publishing an article in this journal, including the author, the chief editor, the Editorial Board, the peer-reviewers, the publisher (ICE-EBM), and the community. This statement is based on guidelines from Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). All articles in this journal involving human subjects, as well as animal, should respect principles of research ethics as described in Declaration of Helsinki and obey the International Guiding Principles for Biomedical Research as developed by the Council for International Organization of Medical Sciences (CIOMS). All articles dealing with human or animal data must include a statement on ethics approval. For study involving human subject must state about written informed consent obtained from the all study participants.

Publication decisions

The editor of the Journal of South Asian Clinical Epidemiology and Evidence based Medicine is responsible for deciding which of the articles submitted to the journal should be published. The decision for publication by editor must be based on the validation of the research and its importance. The decision is also guided by the policies of the journal's editorial board and constrained by such legal requirements as shall then be in force regarding libel, copyright infringement and plagiarism. The editors may communicate to other editors or reviewers in making the final decision.

Fair play

Editor will evaluates manuscripts for their intellectual content without regard to race, gender, sexual orientation, religious belief, ethnic origin, citizenship, or political philosophy of the authors.

Confidentiality

All information about the submitted manuscript will be disclosed to anyone other than the corresponding author, reviewers, potential reviewers, other editorial advisers, and the publisher.
